Pearl Abyss has released Crimson Desert update 1.000.675 for PS5 and PC, adding another set of fixes for the game’s Chartering the Unknown content. The update was released on 31 October 2026 and follows an earlier hotfix for the expansion.

The latest download addresses issues across the expansion’s ocean activities, quests, mounts, ships and management systems. It also includes a change to the pioneering system, which is used when players enter areas where new pioneering missions are available. Pearl Abyss has not provided a separate Philippine release time in the published patch information, but the update is listed for the same PS5 and PC versions available to players in the region.

Ships, ocean activities and underwater problems

Several fixes are aimed at the new maritime systems. The update corrects cases where pirates teleported after falling into the water, certain ships stayed stationary, and crew members failed to appear on some ships. It also fixes a problem that could prevent sea serpents from attacking and another issue that could cause Leviakan to stop moving in particular situations.

Underwater exploration receives additional corrections. Some interactions became unavailable when players held up a lantern while diving, while another issue could cause the playable character to catch fire and become unable to board a ship during an attempted boarding action. The patch also fixes incorrect waterfall appearances and a problem that could make Oongka invisible in certain situations.

  • Fixed an issue involving spouses or comrades following the player into the water.
  • Fixed abnormal repeated behavior by spouses during combat.
  • Fixed cases where rewards from certain quests and challenges were not granted.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash.

Changes to quests and progression

The pioneering system now provides a more direct way to begin available missions. When players enter an area that supports pioneering, a notification appears in the menu on the right, allowing the mission to be started directly. This change is separate from the new islands and exploration activities introduced with Chartering the Unknown, and is intended to make available pioneering tasks easier to identify from the interface.

The update also corrects rewards that were not being issued for certain quests and challenges. Another fix addresses earnings from management facilities increasing abnormally in specific situations. These changes matter to players working through the expansion’s new progression systems, particularly those managing facilities or completing activities tied to the ocean and uncharted areas.

Graphics and update status

For systems using AMD hardware, Pearl Abyss has fixed cases where some graphics appeared incorrectly with driver version 26.10.1. The patch also includes a general crash fix, although the published notes do not identify every circumstance in which the crash occurred.

The update information identifies two downloads released on 31 October 2026. The published fixes are associated with the latest round of changes, but the available patch information indicates that the notes may correspond to version 2.04.02, or that another set of notes could be issued for the day’s other download. Players on PS5 and PC should therefore check the update prompt for the version displayed by their platform before launching the game.
