realme Philippines has launched the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition in the country for ₱39,999. The phone is being offered in limited quantities nationwide and combines a Harry Potter-themed design with customized software and collector-focused packaging.
The device uses a custom Magic Brown finish and an Enchanted Texture Leather rear panel with a three-dimensional diamond pattern inspired by wizard chessboards. Its most distinctive exterior feature is the Hogwarts Four-House Crest, which changes color when exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet light.
A Hogwarts-themed phone design
realme says the color-changing effect is enabled by its Quadra Light-Sensing Color-changing technology beneath the leather surface. The crest can reveal colors associated with Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff, giving the rear panel a visual feature that changes depending on the surrounding light.
The camera area has a gold Hedwig-inspired decorative element, while the metallic frame carries a laser-engraved “Welcome to Hogwarts” phrase. The phone also includes a 200MP camera, although the launch information does not provide additional camera specifications or performance figures.
Customized software and collector packaging
The Harry Potter theme continues through the phone’s software. Buyers receive Hogwarts Castle wallpapers with separate Golden Dawn and Mystic Dusk designs for daytime and nighttime use. System animations for startup and in-display fingerprint unlocking are also themed around Hogwarts acceptance letters.
More than 30 custom app icons are included, along with personalized camera watermarks linked to the four Hogwarts houses. These changes are part of the phone’s customized user interface rather than a separate software download described by the company.
