The The Vermilion Mask TV anime has marked Halloween with a new illustration drawn by original manga artist Nabana Naba. The artwork features Peru sitting on a giant jack-o’-lantern and making a peace sign, while the pumpkin carries a design inspired by Kero.
The anime premiered on 10 October 2026 and airs every Saturday on Crunchyroll. Its listed broadcast time of 2:30 am PT converts to 5:30 pm PHT on Saturdays, giving viewers in the Philippines an afternoon release window. Crunchyroll is the platform identified for the series; the announcement does not provide a separate Philippine or Southeast Asian distribution statement.
A journey tied to the power of masks
The series follows Peru d’Arrest, a student of the legendary mask maker Gaston Roux. After Peru comes into contact with the Mask of the Warrior God, he becomes connected to a power that can bring possibility as well as tragedy. He then sets out to destroy Gaston’s masks, which have spread across the world, while confronting the consequences of what happened.
The anime’s official introduction frames the story around resistance to enemies and fate. Peru’s journey also brings him into contact with new allies and powerful opponents as he seeks atonement. This premise places the masks at the center of both the fantasy setting and the series’ conflict, without revealing later developments.

One Double-O studio is producing the animation. Tetsuaki Watanabe is directing, with Gai Hazako as assistant director and Daisuke Ohigashi handling series composition.
