Miki Yoshikawa’s Hiragi-san’s House of Vampires is being adapted into a television anime, bringing the manga’s unusual vampire-family premise to a new format. The announcement was accompanied by a first teaser visual, while UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS is credited with planning and producing the project.
The announcement does not include a broadcast date, episode count, animation staff beyond the production credit, or information about an international streaming service. For viewers in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, the immediate confirmed detail is the adaptation itself; regional broadcast and streaming arrangements have not been identified in the announcement.
A manga about an unusual household
Yoshikawa began serializing the manga in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in October 2021. The series currently has six published volumes, giving the anime project an established body of material to draw from while its television production develops.
The story follows Shota Minamoto, a junior-high student and orphan living in a children’s home. After he is adopted by a family residing in a luxurious Japanese-style estate, he begins to settle into his new surroundings. The family, however, hides a secret from the wider world: its members are vampires.

Yoshikawa highlights the anime’s atmosphere
Yoshikawa said the manga’s atmosphere is dark in places but also beautiful, and described it as a strong fit for animation. The creator specifically pointed to the contrast between the bright scenes during the day and the darker nighttime setting, an element she pays close attention to while drawing the manga.
She also expressed hope that viewers will enjoy the moonlit mood of the series and become attached to its vampire characters. The comments indicate that the adaptation will need to preserve the work’s balance between an inviting household setting, supernatural elements and a more shadowed visual tone, without revealing story developments beyond the premise.
English manga access
Kodansha publishes the English-language edition through its K MANGA platform. The English description presents the series as a different kind of family story from Yoshikawa’s earlier work, The Cuckoo’s Fiancé, combining a cozy household setup with vampire-themed romance and comedy.
For now, the anime announcement establishes the adaptation and its production credit but does not set a release date. The manga remains the confirmed way for English-language readers to follow the story while further anime information is announced.
