Crystal of Atlan has launched a collaboration with Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX, alongside a major update that expands the mobile action RPG’s progression and seasonal content. The update went live on 28 October 2026 and adds a new level cap, an Adventure Chapter, equipment, and several activities based on the 2002 anime.

The crossover centers on Public Security Section 9, which has detected an unidentified signal in Atlan. That discovery opens a special combat area inspired by the unit’s tactical operations. Players can enter Simulated Warzone, a four-player collaboration dungeon in which each participant pilots a Tachikoma while fighting enemies and other participants.

Simulated Warzone uses Ultra Cogs as its main progression resource. Players collect the items during the activity and can use them to improve their Tachikoma. A defeated participant drops some of the Cogs they have collected, while the final rankings determine rewards that include Prime Prosthetics and Neurochips.

Section 9 activities and rewards

The collaboration also adds Memory Dive, where players spend SP to obtain Cyber Cores and unlock clues for stage rewards. A separate Tactical Protocol progression system uses Neurochips to unlock additional collaboration rewards.

Limited-time crossover items include Motoko Kusanagi as a pet and the Tachikoma as a mount. The mount has five available paint options. These additions give the collaboration several reward tracks beyond the four-player dungeon, with players able to pursue cosmetic and progression-related items through different activities.

  • Simulated Warzone: a four-player collaboration dungeon featuring Tachikoma units.
  • Memory Dive: an activity that uses SP to obtain Cyber Cores and unlock stage rewards.
  • Tactical Protocol: a Neurochip-based progression system for collaboration rewards.
  • Limited-time items: Motoko Kusanagi as a pet and Tachikoma as a mount.

Lv.80 progression and Halloween content

Outside the crossover, the update raises the game’s level cap to 80 and introduces the Adventure Chapter Hymn of Redemption. It also adds the Lv.80 map Frozen Sanctuary and new equipment. Players who have reached level 70 can complete the Level Breakthrough quest to raise their cap and access the new content and rewards.
