A new teaser marking the series’ 30th anniversary has confirmed that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will arrive on 12 February 2027. Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog are developing the title for publisher Amazon Games, and the companies published the “30th Anniversary Teaser Video” on the franchise’s official YouTube channel on 25 October 2026 (Philippine time).
What the teaser shows and platforms
The clip runs just over a minute and offers slow-motion acrobatics, glimpses of locations Lara will visit, and brief shots of combat, puzzles and exploration. Official store listings describe the project as “a stunning reimagining” of the 1996 debut. The game uses Unreal Engine 5 for its visuals.
Brendon Bengston of Crystal Dynamics said the team’s aim is to craft “the most realistic-looking Lara” while remaining faithful to her original design. The studio described technical approaches such as strand-by-strand hair and custom facial blend shapes, and said it scanned real garments to create realistic fabric movement.

Editions, regions and timeline
Pre-orders are open and the Standard Edition is listed at $59.99 on both the PlayStation Store and Steam; Steam’s Deluxe Edition includes an Advance Access window allowing play from 10 February 2027. The official launch list includes Nintendo Switch 2, which the publisher says will receive the game on the same day as other platforms.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is billed as a remake of the original 1996 Tomb Raider. The teaser and store copy place Lara’s journey across Peru, Greece, Egypt and a Mediterranean island as she searches for fragments of the Scion artifact. Crystal Dynamics has said this remake is being rebuilt from the ground up with modern technology rather than a simple remaster.

Crystal Dynamics previously outlined how it is modernizing Lara’s original 1996 design in a PlayStation Blog post on 22 October 2026, emphasising realism in facial animation, hair, and clothing. The studio has not linked the remake to the more recent Tomb Raider reboot trilogy; publisher listings and developer statements present Legacy of Atlantis as a standalone reimagining of the first game.
Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog also noted that a separate new Tomb Raider adventure, tentatively referred to as Tomb Raider: Catalyst in some outlets, is planned to follow Legacy of Atlantis in 2028, though its exact placement in the franchise timeline has not been specified by the developers.
The teaser’s new footage and the confirmed launch window make Legacy of Atlantis one of the major releases scheduled for February 2027. Players in the Philippines and Southeast Asia should be able to pre-order through the regional PlayStation Store, Steam, or retail channels once local listings go live; specific Philippine store pricing or local launch promotions were not part of the announcement.
