Genshin Impact – Best Weapons, Build and Team for Navia

It’s the holiday season but the team at HoYo Labs is still hard at work with Genshin Impact‘s Version 4.3 update that was released yesterday. We’ve got a lot of amazing characters from the region of Fontaine but Navia is especially fun. It’s been a while since we’ve had a Geo DPS companion and her kit can completely change the way you play, giving you new ways to utilize Geo reactions and offering promising damage as a hyper-carry for your team.

Like most elemental-focused characters, the best use of Navia requires the consistent use of her Crystallize reactions. This will trigger when Navia’s Geo attacks come into contact with any of the following elements: Cryo, Electro, Hyrdo, or Pyro. Ideally, you’ll want to play her as the main DPS with supporting elemental characters around her.

Navia’s banner will be available to get from December 20th, 2023 to January 9th, 2024. In this guide, we’re going to go into how to play Navia, as well as the best build, weapons, and team to maximize her damage on the field.

How To Play Navia

Navia is one of Genshin Impact‘s highest DPS characters now and most of that damage is coming from her Elemental Skill – Ceremonial Crystalshot. You’ll need to charge up this skill by hitting enemies with your Claymore and collecting Crystallize shards.

She maxes out at six stacks at once and will consume all stacks when her skill is triggered. This will fire off a number of Geo shots based on the amount of Crystallize shards consumed. With three or more stacks, Navia’s Skill hits a total of 11 times with each hit slightly more powerful than the last. Which essentially doubles your damage output.

This will be the main skill you’ll be using to deal damage while out on the field. Start any battle by using Navia’s Burst first, then swapping out to other characters who can set up buffs and elemental applications for Navia to return to the field and max out her damage. Once Navia returns to the field, you should use her Skill, three Normal Attacks, a dash to cancel the animation of the third attack, then two Normal attacks, and then repeat that string one additional time.

Navia Talents and Attack Combos

Blunt RefusalNormal / Charged AttackNormal Attack: Perform up to 4 consecutive strikes.

Charged Attack: Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents. At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash.
Ceremonial CrystalshotElemental SkillWhen she fires, Navia will consume all Crystal Shrapnel stacks and open her elegant yet lethal Gunbrella, firing multiple Rosula Shardshots that can penetrate opponents, dealing Geo DMG to opponents hit.

When 0/1/2/3 or more stacks of Crystal Shrapnel are consumed, 5/7/9/11 Rosula Shardshots that strike a single opponent, the greater the DMG dealt to them. When all 11 Rosula Shardshots strike, 200% of the original amount of DMG is dealt.

In addition, when more than 3 stacks of Crystal Shrapnel are consumed, every stack consumed beyond those 3 will increase the damage dealt by this Gunbrella attack by an additional 15%.
As the Sunlit Sky’s Singing SaluteElemental BurstNavia unleashes a massive cannon bombardment on opponents in front of her, dealing AoE Geo DMG and providing Cannon Fire Support for a duration afterward, periodically dealing Geo DMG to nearby opponents.

When cannon attacks hit opponents, Navia will gain 1 stack of Crystal Shrapnel. This effect can be triggered up to once every 2.4s.
Mutual Assistance NetworkPassive TalentFor each Pyro/Electro/Cryo/Hydro party member, Navia gains 20% increased ATK. This effect can stack up to 2 times.
Painstaking TransactionPassive TalentGain 25% more rewards when dispatched on a Fontaine Expedition for 20 hours.

Best Navia Team Composition

Navia, ideally, wants two characters of different elements between Pyro, Electro, Hydro, and Cryo, and one Geo support.

You’ll want at least one elemental character with great application of their element, in order to maximize Crystallize reactions and ensure Navia gets all her stacks. I recommend Fischl, who is even better at C6, as she helps generate energy for the whole team while also doing respectable damage.

Last, you’ll want a healer and buffer. Bennett is the best choice for nearly any character focusing on their ATK stat, as he shares more than 100% of his ATK stat with the team. He is also a potent single-target healer.

Should You Pull for Navia?

If you’re looking to build a hard-hitting Geo team then you should pull for Navia. Her skill set and requirements are also fairly beginner friendly and she’s easy to use. You can’t go wrong with pulling for her! Focus on utilizing her Elemental skills and then whacking away with your normal attack!
