Netflix’s Arcane Season 2 Will Be Out Fall 2024
Netflix’s Arcane has shown us that video game adaptations can actually be done well. It’s now been more than two years since Netflix released their award-winning League of Legends TV series – Arcane and finally, we’re getting a season 2.
Season One follows the story of sisters Vi and Jinx and introduces us to the complex and deep lore of the world. In this dual society, there is the gleaming modern city of Piltover, rife with wonderous technology and galactic trade and commerce. While it is undercity, Zaun is home to a world of smogged twilight, black markets, danger and volatile technology. It’s in this darker world that our sisters are born and how their relationship becomes tested amongst the conflicts between the two cities. It is an evocative and fascinating story that is masterfully told and wonderfully executed.
Netflix’s Arcane‘s first season was awarded four Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Animated Program, a first for Netflix.
Arcane Season 2 Release Date

Who’s Coming Back In Arcane Season 2
It is confirmed that Season 2 will bring back Caitlyn, Vi, and Jinx as some of the main characters in the series. And based on this latest trailer, as well as last year’s Season 2 announcement, we’ll definitely be getting Warwick. In the announcement trailer, you can hear the mechanical heartbeat that is a prelude to this League champion. And in the latest trailer, you’ll be able to hear his wolf howl.
Warwick has previously been speculated to be Vander come back to life. Originally experimented on by Singed, pumped full of chemicals and spliced with monster DNA, he is eventually turned into a machine-monster hybrid.
Theories For Arcane Season 2

The end of Arcane Season 1 left us with a bang. Or rather a hextech bang as Jinx launches a missile directly into the Piltover council chambers in retaliation for Silco’s death. Some of the ramifications for this is of course the death of some of the council members as well as a war between Piltover and Zaun.
As confirmed by co-creator Christian Linke on Reddit, you can expect the theme of Season 2 to be war. I imagine however that it won’t just be between Piltover and Zaun but amongst each other and within themselves as well.

With the death of the council members in Piltover as well as the defacto leaders – Silco and Vander in Zaun dead, there remain power vacuums on both sides of the conflict. We already know from the lore that Jayce could be a potential new leader. And it is unlikely now that Vi and Jinx can ever reconcile their differences. But they’re definitely going to try.
