There’s a lot to do in the world of Palia. In this cozy multiplayer game, you’ll be able to meet villagers, solve quests, and discover mysteries. As well as improve your skills in Hunting, Mining, Fishing, Cooking Insect Catching and Furniture Making. With everything going on in the game it can be easy to miss out on Cooking which is one of the key skills in the game to get you ahead, especially in the early stages.

Learning and crafting cooking recipes can help replenish a steady stream of Focus, which once full, will give you a boost to all XP gain whilst performing all other skill activities. Cooking in Palia is slightly more involved than the other skills. It requires several different stations for you to build at place at home, gather the ingredients as well as find the actual recipes to cook them.

In this Palia guide, we’ll go through everything you need to know about cooking, how and where to get recipes, how much focus they provide and even how much you can sell food for.

How To Start Cooking

You’ll be able to start cooking straight away when you start Palia from the “Welcome to Palia” quest. Speak to Reth and ask him to teach you how to cook and he’ll give you the recipe for your first cooking station – the Campfire.

Cooking in Palia isn’t too hard you just need 3 things. The right station, ingredients as well as a recipe. Then you simply have to select the station and get cooking! Some recipes will require more than one station to complete cooking.

 

Cooking Stations

The Campfire is one of the more basic cooking stations you’ll get in the game but you’ll be able to unlock more as you increase your skill level.

How To Get More Recipes

There are several ways to get recipes in Palia, with the easiest being to simply buy it. Buy recipes at Reth’s Cooking Guild Shop when your Cooking Skill reaches Lvl 2.

• Hearty Vegetable Soup: 100 gold
• Ramen: 250 gold
• Steak Dinner: 500 gold
• Meaty Stir Fry: 1,000 gold
• Blueberry Pie: 1,500 gold
• Veggie Fried Rice: 2,000 gold
• Chapaa Masala: 2,500 gold
• Celebration Cake: 3,000 gold

You’ll also be able to find them by exploring around Palia or receiving them as gifts from the other villagers. You can even fish some recipes up around the world.

• Sashimi: Reel it in from Bahari Bay rivers without bait.
• Fish Stew: Hook it from the Bahari Bay Coast using a worm.
• Sushi: Catch it from any pond with a glow worm.

Palia

Palia by Singularity 6 is a free-to-play cosy fantasy MMORPG inspired by Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. The game will be out on PC for closed beta on August 2nd 2023 and open beta on August 10th 2023, sign up here to get registered!
