Apeiron is the world’s first NFT god game x roguelite. Players will take on the role of godlings – newborn gods – and explore the godiverse while piloting their divine Avatar, which will draw its power from the elemental archetypes of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.
The season 2 demo launched this summer with a host of new content and is now available for download on the Epic Store. The following guide will introduce you to one of the currently playable 3 Avatar classes and how to get the most out of them. They’re The Fury, The Fate and The Wisdom. In this guide, we’ll go through everything you need to know and how to play Tempest Avatar – The Fury.

The Tempest Fury is arguably the best avatar at dealing with waves of enemies in the early game due to their high-damage CC abilities. With beefy base stats, good CC, damage reflection, and high damage output, the Fury is a force to be reckoned with.
Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths | Weaknesses |
---|---|
High HP and RES base stats for being a good frontline | Short-ranged auto-attacks that can feel a little bit clunky |
Various CC skills to protect your Apostles | Needs to remain static to complete all 3 stages of auto-attack |
Levelling
Note: You can redistribute your skill points at any time (it’s free!).
Skill point distribution for normal fights (Lv. 30):
- Cyclonic Spinstrike (5/5) – Early and mid-game damage
- Hurricane Slam (5/5) – Late game damage and CC
- Thunderstrike (4/5) – targeted AoE damage
Skill point distribution for boss fights (Lv. 30):
- Tornado Blast (5/5) – Max HP% damage for bosses
- Thunderstrike (4/5) – targeted AoE damage
- Hurricane Slam (4/5) – Supplementary damage
Skills

Skill | Level | Description | Strengths | Weaknesses |
---|---|---|---|---|
Cyclonic Spinstrike | Core Skill | “Spins to AoE damage then: moves faster, spins longer, and enemies knocked up.” | + Available from the start of the game. + Spin to win. Easy to use. + Great CC. + Increases your movement speed. + Good damage, sweeping enemies during early and mid-game. | – Weak against bosses. |
Thunderstrike | Lvl. 10 | “Big slash with AoE aftereffect, gives enemies debuff to take more damage.” | + Huge amount of targeted AoE damage. + Take advantage of its long-range ability to snipe down enemies in the back. + AI won’t dodge the strike in PvE during S2, thus the skill usually brings down squishy enemies with a single hit. | – Useful only when enemies are queued up, might not be useful in future PvP scenarios. – Slow speed makes it hard to hit sometimes, especially during boss fights. – Thin hitbox makes it a very precise move – it can be easy to miss if you are panicking |
Tornado Blast | Lvl. 10 | “4 damaging wind blades make big DoT AoE tornado, tornado sucks inward.” | + Max HP% damage is good against bosses. + The pulling effect gathers enemies in preparation for another AoE damage skill. | – Slightly difficult to manage for beginners as it requires aiming and precise timing. – Relatively insignificant damage during normal battles. |
Hurricane Slam | Lvl. 20 | “Unstoppably charges, knocking aside, then knocks up target and damages in expanding AoE, Apostles get energy.” | + Immobilizes the greatest threat in the enemy team, such as Hunters or Mages. + Deals true damage, useful in countering Guardians, Warriors, and bosses. + Decent AoE damage. | – High mana cost. Equip mana generating Artifacts. |
Apostles / Team Comps

Deck 1: Normal/Elite Battles – Priest Cheese
Priest | Circle o’ Healing | Spawns healing circle, healing allies over time. |
Priest | Circle o’ Healing | Spawns healing circle, healing allies over time. |
Priest | Circle o’ Healing | Spawns healing circle, healing allies over time. |
Priest | Almost-vincible | All allies become almost invulnerable for a moment, then healed. |
The Priests’ Almost-vincible stalls and Circle o’ Healing rapidly heals the Fury’s lost HP while he’s tanking on the frontline. Taking constant damage will energize his signature skill – Rebounding Wind Sigil – giving him a chance to do even more damage while tanking. This team comp has relatively slow damage output but is pretty unkillable, best for grinding the late game through pure attrition.
Deck 2: Boss Battles – Comfy Comp
Priest | Aura of Awesomeness | Target allied Apostle gets an energy-generating aura and heals nearby allies instantly. |
Priest | Circle o’ Healing | Spawns healing circle, healing allies over time. |
Hunter | Headshot | Charges up then shoots arrow, infinite range and piercing, deals damage. |
Hunter | Hawkeye | Choose an ally. Your next card will be drawn among its skills in the deck. Additionally, the targeted ally will receive a 30% bonus attack speed and a 30% bonus critical chance for 8 seconds. |
The Hunters are key to this strategy. They shoot arrows from afar using Headshot, pumping out DPS from the backline while relying on the Fury to shield them. They can also use Hawkeye to help the Fury find those valuable Avatar skill cards. Priests are there just to give everyone some breathing room. A comfy comp for the lazy gamer.
PvP Deck – Extra Tuff
Guardian | Most Awesome Aegis | Gives a shield for itself and everyone. |
Guardian | Castle Guard | Dashes to the target location and taunts enemies. |
In PvP, Hunters become vulnerable to the attacks of enemy Rogues. As tough as nails, the Guardians and The Fury prevent enemy Rogues from getting close to other allies with shields and CC. Take advantage of the extra toughness, and then let your Hunters get down to business.
Alternative PvP Deck – Breakdance Time
Warrior | Ice Cold Armor | Creates a cold aura around self, slowing and damaging enemies. |
Warrior | Ice Cold Armor | Creates cold aura around self, slowing and damaging enemies. |
Warrior | Last Dood Standing | Attacks now cleave and stun. If the target is slowed or stunned, double damage. If hits Avatar, more damage |
Rogue | Blade Breakdancing | Dashes to target location and deals AoE damage. |
The combination of Ice Cold Armor and Last Dood Standing allows constant CC and a big damage increase. With the frontline stunned, your Rogue can sneak into the enemy backline and execute high-priority targets with Blade Breakdancing. As The Fury and the Warriors have relatively high HP stats, you don’t have to worry about their survival and can focus on microing the Rogue.
Artifacts

Artifact | Description | |
---|---|---|
Flysilk Robes of Worship IV (Good) | Avatar Dash Recovery Time -80% | Easily obtainable at the beginning of Depth 1 Cycle 1. The reduced recovery time for dashing allows the Fury’s Cyclonic Spinstrike to reach enemies easier. |
Timetwist Timepiece IV (Evil) | Gain 9 Mana at the start of each battle. When discarding, 25% chance to recover 1 Mana | Gain energy faster for more frequent activation of energized skills. The energized skill of the Fury is important as it absorbs a lot of damage dealt by enemies. |
Event Horizon Escutcheon IV (Evil) | At the start of the battle, your units gain a damage immunity shield for 26 hits. The shield will break if the total damage is over 8000. | This gives all of your units an extra layer of protection allowing you to focus on DPS. |
Apropos’ Recon Drone | All 3 Avatar Skills start at hand | Avatar skills are always useful, so it’s great to guarantee them in your opener. |
Axis Blade IV (Good Attribution) | Your Units +17% ATK & INT | ATK% and INT% buffs are good and will scale well with Fury’s abilities. |
Syn’s Winged Boots III (Evil Attribution) | Avatar Dash Distance +1.5. Avatar Dash Recovery Time -25% | The increased dash distance allows the Fury’s Cyclonic Spinstrike to reach enemies at a greater distance. |
Halo IV (Good Attribution) | Your Units +20% Max HP | Additional HP is always handy for increasing survival chances, especially with the Fury’s high base HP. |
