Remnant 2 – Most Powerful Weapons List

Remnant 2 is a Soulsbourne game which means that its main features are extremely challenging combat, hard-to-kill enemies and almost impossible bosses. Even if you’ve equipped yourself to the teeth with the most powerful weapons this game is still going to pose a challenge. But you should still probably load up with the best guns you can find in any case.

In Remnant 2 there are plenty of weapons to find, mod and upgrade to complement whatever archetype combination you’re working toward on your character. We’ve got the best long guns, hand guns and melee weapons for whatever you’re looking for as well as how to get it.

Both these guns are fairly similar and offer about the same perks. A large ammo capacity with an uninterrupted fire rate. This is extremely useful against bosses whose limited windows for attacking can make reloading a liability.

Deceit

Deceit is an amazing gun for those who prefer a marksman approach to combat. Though it sports a small magazine, each shot will be certain to deal some hefty damage to your foes.

Type: Long Gun (Long Range)
Recommended For: Sharpshooters, Hunter
Ability: Summons phantom swords that surround you and ward off your enemies.

Ouroboros Mod: Conjures 3 sword fragments that encircle the wielder for 30s. Performing a Melee Attack lets loose a Fragment which traints the blood of targets, causing all attacks from Deceit to register as Weakspot hits for short period of time. Charge Melee Attacks fires all remaining Fragments at once.
Mod Power Requirement: 1,440      

Obtain: Choose to defeat Faelin (guide here) to get the Imposter’s Heart. Then take that to McCabe to craft the Deceit for 1x Imposter’s Heart, x7 Lumenite Crystal, x650 Scrap.

 

Alpha/Omega

Alpha/Omega might be one of the best weapons in Remnant 2, but it can only be acquired at the end of the game. But its well worth the wait for that endgame content. This pulse rifle that creates brands on your targets and you can detonate those brands by reloading or swapping weapons. Opponents that die will refund you ammo and mod power. Get ready for the largest AoE in the game.

Ability: Brands targets causing explosions when activated. Returns ammo and mod power.

Beta Ray Mod: Brands a target for 30s. Branded enemies that die leave a Brand at their location. Reloading or Swapping detonates Brands dealing 225 damage. Addiotional Brands (3 Max) on the same target deal 50% damage. Slain enemies return 5-15% of Ammo and Mod power to the weapon. 
Mod Power Requirement: 450

Obtain: Defeat Annihilation – Remnant 2‘s final boss to get the Forgotten Memory. Then take that to McCabe to craft the Alpha-Omega for 1x Forgotten Memory, x7 Lumenite Crystal, x650 Scrap

 

Nightfall

Enter the Nightmare Realm for a few seconds in which Nightfall becomes fully automatic with infinite ammo, increased fire rate and lifesteal. This can get you out of any sticky situation and shred any enemy, bosses included while you’re in the realm.

Type: Long Gun (Close-Mid Range)
Recommended For: Everyone. A must for solo players.
Ability: Enters a Nightmare Realm for 10s where you’ll have increased fire power, be harder to hit and gain lifesteal.

Dreadwalker Mod: Enter the Nightmare Realm. Nightfall gains infinite Ammo, a 35% Fire Rate increase, 10% Lifesteal, and becomes fully automatic. The wielder becomes significantly harder to hit while moving. Disables other weapons and Skills for the duration, or until Dreadwalker is deactivated. Lasts 10s.
Mod Power Requirement: 1,250

Hand Guns

 

Sorrow

Sorrow is a mystical crossbow pistol, that has the unique ability to recall its bolts to heal the wielder. It excels in medium to long-range engagements, allowing for precise and powerful strikes against enemies at extended distances. It does extra damage, while also restoring HP and ammo reserves, what more could you want?

Ability: Recalls its bolts to heal the weilder

Eulogy Mod – Recalls bolts which deal 30 damage when pulled fro, when striking targets on their return. Recalled bolts grant 2% of Max HP. Recalled bolts can also overfill Sorrow by up to +5. Any bolts will be returned to reserves.

Obtain: Trade the Tear of Kaeula (found in Kaeula’s Rest) with Meidre in Yaesha – Dappled Glade.

 

Enigma

The Engima is focused on high damage DPS characters that are there to wipe out the crowd. If you’ve picked the Engineer or Challenger archetype then you’ll know what I’m talking about. With this gun all you need to do is hold down your trigger button and the gun will do the rest. It works well on robots, droids and anything with a shield.

Recommended For: Engineer, Challenger
Ability: Chain Lightning. Fires an electrical stream that jumps to nearby targets.

Chaos Driver Mod: Drives electrified rods into targets which tether to other rods within 10m. Tethers last 10s and deal 20 SHOCK damage per second. Targets embedded with a rod take 50 SHOCK damage per second. They take 25% additional damage per extra rod in the target. Damage is increased by 1.5x if linked to another rod. Rods in the same target will not link.
Mod Power Requirement: 450

Cube Gun

The Cube Gun is an excellent sidearm for any archetype. Mainly because it helps by reducing your need to find ammo as well as granting you a very helpful shield that can absorb up to 500 damage. Just make sure to watch out that it doesn’t overheat.

Ability: No ammo needed. Protective Shield.

Cube Shield Mod: Cube Shield Generates a Cube Shield which absorbs up to 500 damage from incoming enemy projectiles. Lasts 15s. Reactivating fires the Cube Shield which damages enemies as is travels. Damage is increased if the Cube Shield has absorbed enemy projectile damage before firing.

MP60-R

It’s one of the few full-auto handguns that is most effective for those of you that like to get up close and personal with your targets. Its an easy to use no muss no fuss kind of gun with a high damage potential and fast firing rate.

Obtain: Find the ‘Cargo Control Key’ it in Ford’s Chest in Ward 13. The chest combination is “0415”. Unlock the door to find the gun on the table.

 

Melee Weapons

 

Atom Smasher

A high damage melee weapon for close-quarters combat wiht a decent stagger modifier. If you’re the Challenger Archetype this will be the weapon for you. Additionally, the Smasher’s Accelerator mod increases the speed of all melee attacks once you do a charge attack. Causing all sorts of chaos.

Recommended For: Challenger
Ability: Increase attack speed after charge attack.

Accelerator Mod: Charge Melee Attacks increase the speed of all Melee Attacks by 10% for 5s.

Obtain: Finding the Atom Smasher inside the Terminus Station. You’ll have to delve deeper into the facility and complete the train encounter, which involves eliminating dozens of robots within the time limit.

 

Labyrinth Staff

A weapon if used well can harness mod power with its basic strikes. Then can be released for high AoE damage within a short range. Use it for quick bursts of power hits.

Recommended For: Support Healer, Archon
Ability: Basic Strikes generate 10% additional Mod Power. Charge Attacks perform an AOE which strikes all enemies within 2m, dealing 75 Damage. AOE Damage generates 50% additional Mod Power.

Obtain: Located in the Labyrinth zone. Reach the area with the Shifting Portal. To your left, you’ll be able to drop down a set of platforms. This leads to a battle against a miniboss called Bastion. Defeat him and find th Labyrinth Staff within the same chamber.

 

Red Doe Staff

The lifeline mod on the Red Doe Staff is an amazing bit of emergency healing for you and your team. After hitting a couple of enemies you can summon a path of healing that will regenrate health.

Recommended For: Support Healer
Ability: Charge attack creates a healing path for allies

Lifeline Mod: After dealing 250 damage, the next charge attack causes the spirit of the RED DOE to stampede forward, dealing 160 damage to enemies and regenerating 10% Health to allies in its path.

Obtain: Choosing to defeat the Ravager (guide here) and save the doe to get the Doe’s Antler. Then take that to McCabe to craft the Red Doe Staff for 1x Doe’s Antler, x7 Lumenite Crystal, x650 Scrap

 

Spectral Blade

This is one of the better melee weapons because of its mod Whirlwind which unleashes a series of slashes that damage enemies up to 8m around you. That’s quite a lot of enemies to attack at once.

Recommended For: Gunslinger, Hunter
Ability: Strikes enemies repeatedly within an 8m radius.

Whirlwind Mod: Neutral Backdash Charge creates a Whirlwind of slashes which strike all enemies within 8m for 75 damage.

Obtain: Choose to shut down the core and defeat the Spectral Guardian of N’Erud (guide here) to get the Eidolon Shard. Then take that to McCabe to craft the Spectral Blade for 1x Eidolon Shard, x7 Lumenite Crystal, x650 Scrap
