Window Garden – A Lofi Idle Game

The 2020 pandemic changed the face of the world as we know it. Not just in terms of physical changes but mental ones as well. The world slowed down as we stayed at home more and appreciation for the small things in life began to emerge. One of my biggest quarantine hobbies was definitely growing plants at home and playing chilled-out games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

In fact, a whole new event blew up in 2020 entitled Wholesome Direct launched that year to spotlight upcoming games that focused on being uplifting, thoughtful and wholesome. If any of these resonate with you then Window Garden – Lofi Idle Game might be a game you’re going to want.

Developed by Filipino studio – CLOVER-FI Games, Window Garden is a cosy idle game focused on growing indoor plants. It’s a chill, peaceful and cosy experience where you build and maintain your own little windowsill haven.

Grow A Variety of Indoor Plants

There are more than 75 indoor plants for you to grow in Window Garden. Choose your favourite plants from the delicate trailing pothos to spiky cacti, beautiful flowering orchids, fruit plants and much more. It’s all up to you to customise and take care of. All while gently growing your plants and listening to the calming lofi beats as rain splashes against your window.

Taking care of plants is a simple experience. Simply collect rain and sun drops to feed your growing plant baby. Each plant requires different needs, such as Aloe Vera needing less water but a lot of sun.

Decorate Your Plant Rooms

As the game continues you’ll discover new plants which will attract a variety of curious creatures, as well as new rooms that you’ll be able to decorate with a wide range of decor items as you see fit.

Feature your favourite plants in a variety of different styles, shapes and colours. Depending on how you want to decorate your room. And even add in your own little friends such as butterflies, cats and birds. It’s up to you to place whatever makes you happy in your own tranquil world.

It wouldn’t be a game without some progression and Window Garden rewards you by allowing you to earn exclusive rewards via challenges. There are even monthly themed events that allow you to unlock special edition plants and decorations. With Sakura in the Spring, Vegetable patches and even Rabbit planters.

There’s plenty to see and do, and the little progression rewards are gratifying little gems that will keep you coming back to your little Window Garden.

Window Garden Is Currently In Beta

Window Garden is currently in Beta on the Google Play Store. This is developer Camilia’s commercial game title and it was inspired by her mother’s indoor garden during the pandemic. She plans to release the final version on Android iOS and PC.

If you’d like to see more updates on Window Garden be sure to check them out on Wholesome Direct 2023 next month on June 10th!

If you’re looking for more garden-themed games be sure to check out our recommendation – Strange Horticulture. Where you are the owner of a botanical store but in a strange Lovecraftian world.
