Coral Island by Stairway Games is the Southeast Asian alternative to Stardew Valley. It’s a beautiful game that has you spending each day farming, fishing, catching bugs and making friends with the diverse townsfolk. But on special days you can take a break from all that and celebrate the different festivals on the island.
These festivals range from celebrating the change of the seasons to partaking in environmental impact works and more! Right now there are a total of eight festivals on Coral Island, two every season. You’ll get a notification the day before the festival starts and while attendance is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged!
In this guide, we’ll go through what happens at each festival and where and when they take place.
Disclaimer: Coral Island was released on the 11th of October 2022 in Early Access. As such information in this guide is subject to changes and additions. We’ll be adding more to this guide as the game updates!
All The Festivals On Coral Island

Attendance at festivals on Coral Island is optional so if you don’t feel like going you don’t have to. But there’s no reason why not! If you attend festivals you’ll be able to learn more about the culture of the island as well as the residents that live there. You’ll participate in several mini-games as well as have a chance to increase your friendship with the residents. There’s really no downside!

You’ll get a notification of a festival happening the day before and the day of the festival so you’ll have plenty of time to prepare. Make sure to attend the festival during the “start time” and note that when you leave it’ll be at the “end time”. So you’ll likely lose most of the day when you go. Make sure to do everything you need to do before!

Location: Behind Your Farm, Near The Ranch
Start Time: 8:00 – 14:00

To attend the event head over to the area near the Ranch at the designated start time. Once you start the festival, you and the townsfolk will walk into the Caverns and travel by boat to Purwo Woods. Once there you’ll help clear the barren land and start replanting trees. You’ll need your farming tools so remember to pack them before you go!
Tree Planting Festival Activities: Clear the barren land and plant trees.
If you participate in this festival continuously it will trigger the full restoration of the Purwo Woods in Year 4. The game developers also hint at a secret that will appear after you do!
