Disney Dreamlight Valley – Crafting Materials Guide

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a beautiful cosy life sim set in a magical Disney universe. Think of Animal Crossing but with Disney characters. And just like Animal Crossing, you can spend your day in the Valley making friends, farming, fishing, and crafting items and furniture.

There are lots of fun items for you to make and decorate your house and valley with. You’ll even need to build things for quests around the Valley. Most crafting items however will require some materials for you to gather. From different types of wood, stone materials and more.

Here’s our Disney Dreamlight Valley guide on where and how to get all the crafting materials you’re going to need!

QUICK LINKS

Crafting Materials

You can acquire crafting materials all throughout Disney Dreamlight Valley. Some are found everywhere, but some are unique to certain biomes. You’ll be able to dig, mine or just pick them up these materials off the ground. On this list we’ll split it up by the action you have to do in order to obtain the crafting material.

Foraging

To forage items simply interact with the item directly on the ground.

Digging

Use the Shovel on the ground throughout the valley to dig holes and collect resources. When a plot has been dug, a hole will be left behind. These holes can be filled by using the Shovel on them. Both Digging and Filling can be performed consecutively in a row by pressing and holding the action button.

Kristoff’s Stall

Don’t have the time to forage and dig for all these crafting materials? Not to worry because your boy Kristoff has got your back! After unlocking Kristoff in Disney Dreamlight Valley and following his friendship quests, you’ll eventually unlock the Village Project: A Mountain Man’s Stall quest. Complete the quest and you’ll unlock Krisftoff’s Stall which will sell crafting materials on a rotating schedule.

The cost of opening the stall is:

  • 50x Softwood, 50x Stone, 35x Hardwood and 10x Iron Ingot

At first, the stall will offer 3 spaces with common materials, but after the A Broken Sled quest (Kristoff Lvl 10) you’ll be able to upgrade the stall. Upgrading Kristoff’s Stall will allow all 6 slots to be available and will cost you:

  • 1x Fiber, 1x Brick, 1x Glass and 1x Iron Ingot

Do note that each item you can buy at Kristoff’s Stall is limited to a certain number per day. (Except Coal Ore(

Gems

Gems are rare minerals that can be found by mining nodes with the pickaxe. Each gem also has a ‘shiny’ variant which is larger and sells for more coins. Sometimes nodes will have gems appear on them, and sometimes they won’t appear until mined.

Flowers

Flowers can be easily picked up in the different biomes of Disney Dreamlight Valley. But each biome is home to a specific flower. You’ll need to pick flowers for certain crafting recipes and quests.

As of the time of writing the only way to get flowers is to pick them up. If you need more flowers then you’ll need to wait for them to respond. We’ve got our fingers crossed for one of our villagers to open a flower store though!

  • Plaza – Falling Penstemon, Dandelion
  • Peaceful Meadow – Green Rising Penstemon, Daisy
  • Glade of Trust – Marsh Milkweed
  • Forest of Valor – Star Lily, Bell Flower
  • Dazzle Beach – Hydrangea, Sunflower
  • Sunlit Plateau – Houseleek, Bromeliad
  • Frosted Heights – Passion Lily
  • Forgotten Lands – Nasturtium, Impatiens
