How To Start Farming In Wylde Flowers

Wylde Flowers begins with a helpful little tutorial on how to start farming. The mechanics for this part of the game are going to be familiar to veterans of farm sims. And it won’t be hard for anyone else to pick up either. Basically just put a seed in a Garden Bed, water it with the Water Pot and wait for it to grow.
The game has a variety of crops for you to grow that we’ll get into later, and you can also plant Fruit Trees. Comparatively Fruit Tree seeds are generally more expensive than crop seeds but with the benefit of you being able to harvest them multiple times. You also just need to water them once, but as a fully grown tree, they won’t need any more care from you.
The Garden
In the garden, there are several structures for you to construct. Namely the Garden Bed, Compost Bin, and Beehive.

Garden Bed – 10x Wood, 1x Soil, 25 Coins
Garden beds are the ground you’ll use to plant the seeds of crops. Building more Garden beds will allow you to grow more crops.
Compost Bin – 6x Wood, 10 Coins
Building a Compost Bin will give you the ability to produce soil from Weeds. Put Weeds into the Compost Bin to get your soil as well as some bonus worms.
Beehive – 10x Wood, 50 Coins
Make a Beehive in the garden to collect the honey from Bees. Honey can be used for different recipes in cooking and it also has a high sell price. You can sell honey to Violet.
Crops
Certain crops only grow in certain seasons, so in this guide, we’ll separate the guide by season as well as in their order of profitability. Profitability is calculated by the selling price (for a full crop) minus seed price divided by growing time. You can get most of your seeds from the Dahl General Store and in some cases Thomas.

Flowers & Honey
Flowers serve a different function to crops, as in you won’t necessarily get a lot for selling flowers. But they are essential for producing honey and beeswax. Grow flowers to attract bees but don’t pick them if you can help it. Once the flowers bloom the bees will produce honey and beeswax.
You’ll be able to buy your flower seeds from Violet’s Violets. She’ll also buy your flowers and honey as well.
