It’s time to “put another shrimp on the barbie” as someone in Dinkum might say! In the recently released Animal Crossing-esque life sim, Dinkum you’re of carving out a nice little settlement in the Australian outback. This includes building up the township, your own farm and making the place a little more habitable. One thing that just screams home is just good old fashioned cooking.
If you’re low on health or energy, been taking a couple too many critter bites, then you’re going to want to replenish yourself with some food. In the early days you’re probably going to just eat the fruits that you find on the trees. But as you start to level up you’re going to want something a little more substantial. That’s where cooking comes in, by cooking ingredients you’re almost always going to increase the foods regenrative effects. So before you head out in Dinkum each day be sure to pack a bag of food.
How To Cook
To cook in Dinkum you need two things – a cooking station and at least one ingredient.
Cooking stations come in a few different forms, from the simple Camp Fire or BBQ and the more advanced Cooking Table. You can also use a Keg to brew up some delicious drinks and a Grain Mill to refine some of your crops for cooking.
Here’s a quick links navigation bar for all the recipes we’ve collected so far.
Camp Fire And BBQ

You’ll get the Camp Fire/BBQ in the early game by completing the few objectives on Day 1. The Camp Fire/BBQ will only need a single ingredient to cook and you can just place it directly on the station to cook.
One thing to note about Camp Fires is that they can be pretty dangerous and if you aren’t careful. If you stand too near them, you can set yourself on fire. And if you aren’t near water, things can get hot really quickly. For your own safety, don’t rely on having a production line of Camp Fires. Instead, invest in a BBQ.

Kegs

To make a keg you need at least level 10 in foraging and a Woodcutting License Level 2. Once you’ve gotten all of that then you should unlock the recipe to craft Kegs.
A Keg costs 5 Palm Wood Planks and 1 Iron Bar. It can accept 3 things, Bottle Brush, Yellow Wattle Flower or Jelly. Once you’ve gotten what you want to place inside the Keg, just hold the item you want and face the keg. Left click on the keg and it should feed 10 units of whatever you want in there. The kegs can take couple of days to brew, but once done it should just spit out the product right in front of it.

Grain Mill
The Grain Mill is one of the most important items that you’ll need in Dinkum. The Grain Mill will take raw materials like corn and wheat and processes them to give resources like animal food and flour.
To unlock the Grain Milling Machine, you’ll need a Farming License which will you 250 permit points. Once you have your permit points, talk to Fletch at Town Hall. Once you have purchased the Level 1 Farming License, you will be given the blueprint/recipe for the Grain Mill.
To make the Grain Mill, you will need 4 Gumwood Planks, 4 Old Gears, 2 Copper Bars, and 1 Old Wheel.
Grain Mill Recipes

There are three products so far in Dinkum that can be refined with a Grain Mill. These ingredient seeds can be bought from Rayne. Rayne carries a random selection of Seeds every day. It’s a good idea to stock up in advance!
