Five Esport Events to Look Forward to in 2022

Esports are growing, and we can say that it is pretty exciting because every year, we can expect to enjoy a host of top-notch events from time to time. So, if you are a fan of the industry, you can decide to enjoy by streaming events live or betting on them like you would when you want to place bets on Kentucky Derby odds

Every year we enjoy a host of tournaments and events in esports, and this year is no different. Therefore, we are looking forward to some of the best for the new year. This guide will cover five of the most anticipated esports events in 2022. Let’s get into it!

ESL Pro League Season 15

The ESL Pro League is in its 15th season, and we are gearing for another epic series of battles among the best CS: GO players in the world. Although rounds have started since November 2021, the grand final set for spring 2022 is one of the most significant events of the year, and we are looking forward to the team taking home the crown.

The tournament includes a Group stage with four single round-robin format groups, and the winners of these groups go on to the Play-in where the winning teams advance to the semis. The semis happen in the Playoffs, and it eventually ends in an epic best out of five final. You should certainly not miss a game in this competition.

VCT Champions Series

The VCT Champions series is always an eventful tournament, and every year, we get to enjoy some of the best gaming tournaments. With a prize pool of $350,000, we believe that it is enough motivation for gamers to strive to win. The event starts in February with the stage one challengers.

After that, we move to the Masters’ stage in April, and then the Stage 2 Challengers phase in May/June before we enter the Master and Qualifier in Aug/Sept. This year will follow up with last year’s success, and undoubtedly, we can expect an incredible experience just like last year.

Apex Legends Global Series Championship

Join the event in South America with a whopping $5,000,000 prize pool. The Apex Legends Global Series, ALGS, Championship is another event we look forward to this year. After the successful launch in 2021, we are not surprised to see it come back for a second season this year.

This year, the event will return with qualifiers and challengers circuits that lead to split playoffs, championship rounds, and Pro League Splits. You should consider this when you want to pick an even to follow this year.

League of Legends World Championship

The League of Legends is back for the 12th season, and all we can say is that we are ready for the excitement it brings. This year, we will have three cities, including Mexico City, Toronto, New York, and San Francisco. It is the pinnacle of the League of Legends competition.

This tournament has 12 teams from different regions competing for the world championship title. In addition to that, 24 teams from Riot Games’ 12 pro leagues will engage in the month-long competition.  There is no dull moment here.

The International 11

One of the most anticipated and most prominent esports events is the International, an event for DOTA2 players. Although we do not have the formal dates for the event, we expect the Regional leagues to go into 2022. Since this is a precursor to The International tournament, we believe it should be after the league is over.

Undoubtedly, every esports fan should be looking forward to this incredible tournament. And we know that this year’s events will not disappoint.

Bottom Line

These events span through the year. So, there is a lot to expect as the days proceed. You can always find the right place to start your favorite events. In addition to that, you can participate by betting on games, joining communities, and buying merch to support your favorite teams. Without a doubt, 2022 has plenty in stock for esports tournaments.
