Pokémon Legends: Arceus has been out for about a month and by now the majority of us have finished the main storyline. But anyone who’s played a Pokémon game knows that it’s not over until it’s 100% over. In fact, you can treat your story mission as pretty much the prelude to the main Pokémon Legends: Arceus game. And it should take you about the same if not more time than you did before.
After you’ve wrapped up the main game you’ll have the chance to fill out your Pokedex, which I admit does take a bit of grind and time. This involves all the Legendaries, Shinies and hidden rare Pokémon that are found in the space-time rift. During that time there are also a number of side and story missions that will only be available post-game. Including Noble and other trainer battles.
As you can see there’s a lot going on post-game in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. We’ll list it all here so that you don’t miss anything.

• Re-Challenge The Nobles | • Get Darkrai and/or Shaymin |

Talk To Professor Laventon

The first thing you should do after completing the game is to talk to Professor Laventon. After doing so he’ll reward you with two of the remaining starters that you didn’t choose at the start of the game! You’ll need to speak to Captain Cyllene in the Galaxy Hall first and then speak to Laventon in his lab.
You’ll need a few more catches and activities with those starter Pokémon in order to fill up your Pokedex. So make sure to check out our guide on where and how to catch all of the starter Pokemon here.
The Remaining Story Missions

Eight new story missions become available after you complete Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The remaining eight are centred around catching the rest of the Legendary Pokemon and finally the man himself, Arceus. It’s a little reminiscent of the Delta Episode content from Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire in that respect and offers up a very compelling reason to continue playing a little longer.
There are 12 Legendary Pokemon for you to catch each with its own unique requirements. They are:
• Uxie | • Azelf |
• Mesprit | • Heatran |
• Cresselia | • Regigigas |
• Giratina | • Tornadus |
• Thundurus | • Landorus |
• Enamorus | • Arceus |
Re-Challenge the Eight Noble Pokémon

The Noble Pokémon are powerful creatures served by the Wardens of the Diamond and Pearl Clans. You would have encountered all five during your journey. But at the end of the game, you’ll be able to go back and challenge them again. These are Kleavor, Hisuian Lilligant, Hisuian Arcanine, Hisuian Electrode and Hisuian Avalugg. This challenge will be timed and hitting them to accumulate you a score that will net you different rewards.
After you complete the last of the story missions aka capturing all the Legendaries you’ll be able tore-challenge Dialga, Palkia, and Arceus as well. Do note that all eight of these Noble Pokémon will be tougher the second time around. But it’s arguably worth the effort as players can earn some pretty useful rewards by overcoming these new challenges.
Complete the Pokedex

There are only 242 Pokémon available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, making its Pokedex one of the easiest to complete. And you probably would’ve caught the majority of these by the time the end credits roll.
You’ll need all 237 Pokémon (minus Arceus, Phione, Manaphy, Shayim and Darkrai) in order to face Arceus anyway. And once all of the Legendary and Mythical Pokemon have been added to their total, finding the rest probably won’t take all that long. The research tasks however may take a bit longer. But you’ll need that in order to complete the Dex and be rewarded with the Shiny Charm! The Shiny Charm will increase the odds of encountering shiny Pokémon, which is something else you’re probably going to be doing endgame.
Complete All 94 Requests

You won’t be able to complete your Pokedex without doing all the side requests in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It involves NPCs asking players to complete a variety of tasks on their behalf. These usually entail finding a particular Pokémon or tracking down a certain item. But you can just go ahead and finish them off at the end of the game.
Collect All The Old Verses

This is a very optional quest you can complete in Pokémon Legends: Arceus but doing so will really flesh out the lore of the game. There are twenty Old Verses in total around Hisui with four located on each map. To find them you’ll need to ride Ursaluna and sniff them out!
Special Research Request (Requires Other Games)
Two special research requests are available for you in Pokémon Legends: Arceus if you own a save copy of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl or Pokémon Sword/Shield. You’ll need to have a saved copy of the game on your device for this to activate.

If you own a copy of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl you’ll find a request for Darkrai on the blackboard in the Galaxy Team HQ. It’s entitled Request 93: The Darksome Night. Find Darkrai at night on the Clamberclaw Cliffs and engage him in a battle to catch him. If you accidentally kill him, return to Jubilife Village and back to Coronet Highlands again. You’ll be able to find Darkrai again.

If you own a copy of Pokémon Sword/Shield you’ll find a request for Shaymin on the blackboard in the Galaxy Team HQ. It’s entitled Request 92: A Token of Gratitude. Head to Fieldlands Camp at Obsidian Fieldlands and talk to Medi. She will give you a Gracidea flower and say that it is the clue to finding the field of flowers she was looking for. The field of flowers she’s referring to is Floaro Gardens, found above Lake Verity. Go there and head towards the withered flowerbed to try and catch Shaymin. She’s a little shy and hard to spot so just wait her out in the grass.
We hope you’re having an amazing adventure in Pokémon Legends: Arceus! Be sure to check out all our other guides for the game here!
