It feels like Genshin Impact 2.2 has only just begun and now rumours and leaks for 2.3 have already surfaced. Given Genshin Impact‘s brutal grind and gacha system though I’d say we should take all the information we can get to prepare for any upcoming characters.
Genshin Impact 2.3 will be out on November 24th 2021, which gives us about a month to prep for it. Right now the data mines have confirmed that Albedo will be the first to come back during the version 2.3 launch. (With Beidou? maybe). But what we’re most excited about is the second banner in 2.3 that will be featuring two brand new characters – Arataki Itto and Gorou.
Here are all the character leaks, talents and most importantly material guides for Arataki Itto and Gorou. Estimated to be launched on December 13th. It’s time to start prepping early!

Arataki Itto is described as “fast as the wind and mighty as thunder” and is an “intrepid man with Oni blood running through his veins.” Despite his demonic looks, Itto is known for his kindness and competitive nature. In fact, the Arataki Gang helps rid Inazuma of any troublemakers.
Arataki Itto is likely a descendant of Arataki of the Front Gate, a famous martial artist in Inazuman history.
Itto was a Vision-bearer who had his Vision confiscated after being defeated by Kujou Sara of the Tenryou Commission. Ever since then, he has sought a rematch, following her throughout various islands on the archipelago and proclaiming his intent to fight the other on every single bulletin board, much to her consternation.

Arataki Itto dominates the battlefield with powerful Geo attacks. Itto wields a Claymore that has a four-hit basic attack combo, which gains increased power. Overall, Itto with Xiangling is one of the sole characters with a special effect in his auto combo.

| Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil | Elemental Burst | Similar to Raiden Shogun and Kokomi, Itto enters a special stage called Raging Oni King. It unleashes a flurry of devastating Geo hits that deal damage based on his DEF. During this state, Itto also gains increased ATK SPD and resistances. The Raging Oni King State has the following special properties: • Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks will be converted to Geo DMG, this cannot be overridden. • Itto’s ATK will be increased based on his DEF. His Normal Attack SPD will also be increased. • The first, second, and third combos of his Normal Attack will grant Arataki Itto himself 1 stack of Superlative Superstrength when they hit opponents. • Itto gains 20% Elemental and Physical RES. To level up Itto’s Talents, you’ll need:
- Teachings of Elegance – Violet Court (Inazuma)

Best Weapons For Arataki Itto
As usual with Genshin Impact the best weapon comes in the weapon banner along with the character banner. This time it’s the Redhoprn Stonethresher. Since Arataki Itto skill’s damage is based on his defence that’s the stat to focus on to deal great damage to enemies.

Best Artifact Sets For Arataki Itto
Itto’s abilities will multiply based on his max Defense. According to recent leaks, Genshin Impact 2.3 is introducing the new set: Husk of Opulent Dreams will increase Defense; they seem the perfect fit for Arataki.

2-Piece Set: DEF +30%
4-Piece Set: A character equipped with this Artifact set will obtain the Curiosity effect in the following conditions: When on the field, the character gains 1 stack after hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, triggering a maximum of once every 0.3s.
When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s. Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus. When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost.
