Genshin Impact – Raiden Shogun / Baal Character Guide
Genshin Impact Version 2.1 ‘Floating World Under The Moonlight’ has just launched today and with it is a new character Raiden Shogun Baal. The Raiden Shogun is one of the more anticipated character releases coming out. Probably thanks to how amazing she was in the Genshin Impact storyline. Her character is a powerhouse of Electro DMG which comes to no surprise considering she is the Electro Archon. Use her as a powerful Burst DMG character that will pair well with a main Cryo DPS for that sweet Superconduct reaction.
Altogether the Version 2.1 update brings with it the addition of two new Inazuma islands, a new fishing system, four new characters and more. For more information on everything that’s coming to this update be sure to read our Version 2.1 article here.
Who Is Raiden Shogun?
A brief, solitary bolt of lightning can turn into an unrelenting force of divine retribution in the hands of the Raiden Shogun.Genshin Impact
Her Eternal Excellency Raiden Shogun is one of the main badass bitches in Teyvat. We’re introduced to her during the Inazuma storyline as the one in charge of the Inazuma Bafuku. The entity that currently rules over Inazuma. She’s a kind of God Queen and before the times of the seven nations, she was mostly known as Baal, the God of Eternity. She’s one of the Seven Archons together with Barbatos and Morax.
As the leader of the Shogunate, the Raiden Shogun has ruled with an iron will for hundreds of years, promising her people an unchanging eternity. Most people trust in her great name and her might, believing their descendants shall also live in the glory of the eternal paradise the Almighty Shogun promised for her people.
Raiden Shogun’s Character Banner
Set to release on September 1st, Raiden Shogun‘s character banner will be run for 3 weeks until September 21st. Her banner will be released with three other four-star characters – Kujoy Sara, Sucrose and Xiangling.
For those of you that haven’t figured out the math of Genshin Impact‘s gacha system yet, 5-star character drop rates are a 0.6% chance. But after 89 attempts you’re guaranteed a 5-star character. If you wish on that particular character’s banner it will increase their rate by 50%. This means, at most, you’ll need 180 wishes to get Raiden Shogun. The three 4-star characters will also receive a boost in drop rates.
