Legend of Mana by Square Enix – June 24th
The HD Remaster of Legend of Mana was announced earlier this year in February’s Nintendo Direct. Originally released 22 years ago in 1999 the original game features a magical land that you’re going to restore.
The Mana Tree is the giver of mana and life for the world. Over time war between the creatures of the land began – faeries, human, and others fought to obtain what scarce mana that was left. When the war ended, the Mana Tree was drained and the many lands of the world were closed and stored away in ancient artefacts. One of the classic JRPGs of our time, you’ll need to square off against fearsome monsters, and explore the vast world of Fa’Diel. Not only has the music has been rearranged for this remaster, you can also alternate between the new and original soundtrack. Other features have also been added, including the ability to turn off enemy encounters, and the never-before released mini-game “Ring Ring Land”.
Due to the success of the SaGa Frontier remaster, I’m really looking forward to when Legend of Mana returns to modern day consoles.

Scarlet Nexus by Bandai Namco Studios – June 25th
Bandai Namco ain’t going to disappoint with JRPGs and here is another fantastic looking one to add to your roster. In the far distant future of Scarlet Nexus, a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain. It grants people extra-sensory powers and has changed the world as we know it. As humanity enters this new era, deranged mutants known as Others began to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains. Highly resistant to conventional attack methods, extreme measures need to be taken to battle the overwhelming threat and preserve humanity.
Those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psionics, are our only chance to fight the onslaught from above. Since then, psionics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force (OSF), humanity’s last line of defence. Featuring a dual story, begin your adventure with either Yuito Sumeragi, an energetic recruit from a prestigious political family. Or Kasane Randall, the mysterious scout whose power and skill has gained great notoriety among the OSF. As their different experiences interweave with each other, it is only then that you will reveal the full story and unlock all the mysteries of a Brain Punk future caught between technology and psychic abilities in Scarlet Nexus.
