Idris Elba is taking over Will Smith’s role, but he won’t be playing as Smith’s character Deadshot. Instead, Elba will be playing Robert DuBois or Bloodsport. In the comics, Bloodsport is a Vietnam War-obsessed mercenary who plays a villain to Superman. He uses high-tech guns and weaponry with Kryptonite bullets that are teleported into his hands. During The Suicide Squad, he is serving time in prison for shooting Superman with a Kryptonite bullet.
John Cena as Peacemaker

Christopher Smith, a.k.a. Peacemaker, is a person that John Cena describes as a “douchey Captain America”. He’s a sort of anti-superhero soldier who loves peace so much, he’s willing to kill for it. Originally he was a pacifist diplomat who used strictly non-lethal weapons. Although over time he developed into a more violent vigilante willing to make sacrifices for the greater good. In the comics, he finds out that his efforts are the result of mental illness, caused by the shame and guilt of knowing his father was a Nazi death camp commandant.
David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man

Polka Dot Man, also known as Mister Polka Dot, is a Gotham City villain and enemy to Batman. His moniker comes from the polka-dotted suit he wears. Each spot can be peeled off and turned into different objects, ranging from dangerous weapons to bizarre vehicles, such as flying saucers. In the comics, Polka-Dot Man briefly captures Robin before he is freed by Batman.
Sylvester Stallone as King Shark

King Shark is the son of a Hawaiin Shark God and a human woman. Resulting in the body of Great White Shark with a humanoid body. He has big nasty teeth, and claws that can rip anyone to shreds while also being able to breathe underwater and swim incredible distances. As sharks do. But mainly, he likes to kidnap people and eat them. In the comics, he’s discovered by Superboy in Hawaii and for a brief time, he was Aquaman’s sidekick.
Nathan Fillion as TDK

TDK, short for The Detachable Kid or Arm-Fall-Off-Boy. He has the ability to detach his own limbs and use them as blunt weapons. How useful this is as a power will remain to be seen. In the comics, he’s a convicted felon and member of the first Task Force X strike team.
Peter Capaldi as The Thinker

The Thinker is one of DC Comics’ oldest villains, and the name was used by four different supervillains over the years. A hyperintelligent supervillain with telepathic abilities, his abilities include technologically derived powers of telekinesis and mind control. Using his “Thinking Cap” it is a metal helmet that projects mental force.
Mayling Ng as Mongal

The Suicide Squad is packed to the gills with anti-heroes and a half Gods, so why not add an alien warrior into the mix? Mongal is the daughter of a tyrannical ruler Mongul, from the planet Warwold. She and her brother came to Earth to attempt and kill Superman. She possesses superhuman strength, agility, speed, and stamina, which allowed her to engage Superman in combat.
Flula Borg as Javelin

Javelin is a former German Olympic athlete who, for unknown reasons, turned to a life of crime. He created an arsenal of weapons based on javelins. From collapsible high-tech javelins, explosive javelins and more. In the comics, he is an enemy of Green Lantern and he stole the prototype jet-powered solar Ferris Aircraft. Javelin was later captured, however, and recruited to The Suicide Squad.
