Remnant: From The Ashes – Most Powerful Weapons List

Remnant: From the Ashes is hard. Yes, the combat is great and challenging, but I get way too frustrated by the 10th death to continue. I think Remnant might be a game to play in small bites. Rather than as a binge. If you’ve just started this Dark Souls-esque shooter be sure to check out our beginner’s guide. Or if you’re stuck midway then we also have our best weapon mods list for you to read. So because we’re having such difficulty in the game we’ve come up with another guide to help really everyone who’s playing out. The most powerful weapons for you to spend your scrap on.

Primary Weapon

Assault Rifle

Damage19.5RPS7.3
Mag Size28Range18m
Max Ammo196Crit Chace5%

With the number of enemies you’ll be facing, the variety of boss tactics and situations, the best weapon in the game is the assault rifle because it’s the most diverse. An amazing fully automatic gun that is effective at middle to range fights, with some decent stopping power at close range. This means you aren’t likely to switch to another weapon for any reason. Useful in a plethora of builds and generally good during the whole game.

You can get the assault rifle from a random event called Supply Run on Earth in Sorrow’s Field Dungeon. The weapon is behind a locked door at the end of the dungeon. Open it with the Monkey Key hidden somewhere in the dungeon to unlock the door.

Sporebloom

Damage200RPS3.5
Mag Size1Range10m
Max Ammo21Crit Chace5%

This weapon is a beast at close range dealing 200 damage with each explosive blast. Sure you’ll have to reload each shot, but you can’t beat the raw single-shot DPS and it’s a lot of fun to use. What makes the Sporebloom great is its Sport Shot mod that comes built-in. This fires an explosive bullet that deals 50 rot damage on impact with an AOE for 2.6 meters. After the explosion, a noxious cloud will hover in the area for several seconds poisoning any enemies trapped inside.

Sporebloom can be crafted after defeating The Ent, world boss on Earth. You’ll need 1 Spore Gland and 7 Lumenite Crystals to make it.

Beam Rifle

Damage20RPS4
Mag Size50Range15m
Max Ammo200Crit Chace5%

This is a pretty solid weapon and as you might have guessed, it shoots a beam. The beam deals Radiation damage and heats up as its fired, dealing additional damage the longer you hold the trigger. For such a rapid-fire weapon it has a surprising range at 15 meters. Just keep an eye out for overheating or you’ll have to wait for it to cool down.

The Beam Rifle can be found in The Lost Gantry in a random event on Rohm. You will have to hold off waves of adds to unlock a door where the weapon is hidden.

Sniper Rifle

Damage135RPS1.7
Mag Size1Range35m
Max Ammo27Crit Chace20%

The Sniper Rifle as the name suggests is great for taking out enemies in the long-range. But with it having a low rate of fire, make sure to pair it with an SMG so you’re not vulnerable once a wave of enemies rushes towards you. It deals an impressive 135 damage and must be reloaded every shot. If the 20% critical hit chance kicks in then most weaker enemies will go down in one or two hits which is great for ammo conservation. In boss fights, you’ll want to either kite the enemy or have a friend draw aggro.

Sniper Rifle can be found at Earth: In the basement of The Church where you meet the Root Mother. Go into the front door of the Church, through the doorway on the left far end. Turn left and continue down the hallway, heading down the stairs at the end. In the corner with lockers in it, the sniper will be there behind some pallets.

Ruin

Damage19RPS6
Mag Size30Range22m
Max Ammo150Crit Chace10%

This weapon is honestly less about damage and more about survivability. You’ll want to have this gun for its fixed Undying mod. When fully charged the user can be revived from death with 33% of their health. They also come back with damage reduction and immunity to status effects for a few seconds. It’s great for those bosses that manage to surprise you with devastating attacks.

The Ruin has one of the highest DPS in the game when fully upgraded. Its ridiculously high rate of fire makes it the perfect choice for critical hit setups. It also comes with a 3x scope and a high critical chance. Ruin can be crafted after defeating the Undying King, in Rohm. You’ll need 1 Undying Heart and 7 Lumenite Crystals to make it.

Repulsor

Damage100RPS1.8
Mag Size5Range8m
Max Ammo30Crit Chace5%

Is a weapon with a decent rate of fire that becomes more accurate the longer the wielder focuses their aim. Where this gun really shines is the Banish mod built into the weapon. This special ability banishes targets to another dimension for several seconds. When they come back they receive 1.5 times the standard damage for 10 seconds. This is great for thinning the herd in groups or for removing problematic foes during boss fights.

The Repulsor has the same range as the coach gun and deals 100 damage. It can fire five shots before reloading and has a decent ammo capacity of 30. Repulsor can be crafted after defeating the Dreamer final boss. You’ll need 1 Dreamer’s Mana and 7 Lumenite Crystals to make it.
