Kensei Armor

Belonged to a Straw Hat infamous for his cunning and deception. A sneaky set of armor designed to make the most out of your Ghost Weapons, especially when setting up ambushes. Can be enormously effective if you’re well-stocked on equipment to get the most out of its last ability.

Ghost Armor

A gift from Taka to enhance the tactics of the Ghost, and a good friend’s final creation. Though this armor is best for stealth, its abilities can also be used to end a fight quickly. Terrifying a nearby enemy is the same as killing them – they’ll flee the fight and not come back.

How To Get It: You’ll get the Ghost Armor during the “From the Darkness” story mission in Act 2.

Abilities: The Ghost Armor is all about stealth and terrifying enemies.

– Reduces the number of kills needed to enter the Ghost Stance by 2

Mongol Commander’s Armor

A powerful defensive option that also allows you to sneak through enemy lines. However, it cannot be upgraded from its starting form.

How To Get It: After getting to Kamiagata in Act 3, a mission will appear at Jogaku Temple called “Fit for the Khan”. Completing it will get you the armor.

Abilities: The Mongol Commander’s Armor is best for defensive players.

– Major increase to health.
– Reduces all damage by a Major amount.
– Disguises you while out of combat, massively reducing Mongol detection speed.

Abilities at Max Level:

– Major increase to health
– Reduces all damage by a Major amount
– Disguises you while out of combat, massively reducing Mongol detection speed

Fundoshi

A true samurai needs no clothes – Jin Sakai after too much sake. A rather… minimalist approach to armor, this loincloth actually does a lot to assist stealth. It also cannot be upgraded, presumably because there’s not much you can do to improve a belt with a washcloth hanging off it.

How To Get It: Find all 18 hot springs in Ghost of Tsushima

Abilities: The Fundoshi offers only one bonus effect – Running and sprinting no longer create noise.
