Minecraft Dungeons – Endgame Character Build Guide

Minecraft Dungeons takes everything you love about Minecraft and gives you a completely new way to enjoy it. Much like how Lego gave us amazing Lego Games as well as The Lego Movie, Minecraft has given us Minecraft Dungeons to enjoy. An action RPG by the teams at Double Eleven and Mojang, you and your team will be trading building blocks for dungeon crawling.

In Minecraft Dungeons you and your squad will need to craft a hero to go on your adventure. But instead of choosing a class, like other role-playing games, you’ll be able to create your own depending on your playstyle and the type of gear collected in-game. This gear includes a melee weapon, a ranged weapon, a piece of armour, and three additional artefacts each with their own effects governed by cooldowns. There’s a lot to grind for and a lot to customise, so we thought we’d help you out with a couple of endgame builds. Here are a few that should fit a couple of different play styles.

 

Melee Berserker Build

Whirlwind Axe

Whirlwind, forged during an epic windstorm, is a double-bladed axe that levitates slightly. It casts shockwave and spin attack.

Firebolt Thrower

The Firebolt Thrower launches chaos in a chain reaction of exploding arrows. Playing with fire grants this crossbow some powerful traits, with arrows exploding on impact, and the chance of a chain reaction. When the stars align, a few shots clear the dungeon floor. Chance of chain reaction and explodes on impact.

Highland Armour

The educated elders of the Ender days claimed that this armour was built from the scales of a dragon. This is the ultimate tool for a melee damage-dealer, giving you speed boosts after a dodge roll, allowing you to weave around enemies and slap them while they’re still turning. Gains speed after dodge, 20% damage reduction and +15% melee damage.

  • Leeching: Defeating a mob heals you a small portion of the mob’s max health.
  • Committed: Deal increased damage against already wounded enemies.
  • Critical Hit: Gives you a chance to inflict critical hits dealing triple damage.
  • Infinity: Chance to immediately replenish an arrow after shooting.
  • Multishot: Grants the chance to fire five arrows at once.
  • Ricochet: Small chance for arrows to ricochet off mobs.
  • Protection: Reduces damage taken.
  • Swiftfooted: Rolling makes you move faster for three seconds.
  • Deflect: Grants a small chance to deflect incoming projectiles.
 

Melee Assassin Build

Nightmare’s Bite

The twin blades of Nightmare’s Bite drip with deadly venom, still potent after all these years. A rapid-attacking pair of sickles ideal for rogues. It also spawns poison clouds, stacking with Life Stealing-type enchants for tons of self-sustain. Spawns poison clouds, has dual wield.

Auto Crossbow

Function over form, this creation of the Arch-Illager cranks up the fire rate far beyond alternatives. That rate also increases as you shoot, rewarding those who hold down the trigger. Ideal for targeting large groups of hostile mobs. High firerate with firerate increasing upon firing.

Spider Armour

Spider Armor, created by master thieves, is inspired by the agile talents of the Spider. The Spider Armor is a rogue’s best friend, providing a passive lifesteal aura on attacks, alongside bonuses to damage. 3% Life steal aura with +25% melee attack speed.
