No Straight Roads Is Available For Pre-Order On PC
Is everybody in this stadium ready to roccckkkkk?? We know you are. In only a few short months you’re gonna roll into No Straight Roads! The third-person action-adventure music game that brings the clash of two predominant music genres in an all-out music battle! Set to release in early 2020 on the PS4 and Epic Games Store for PC. No Straight Roads is the debut game of Malaysian indie game developer Metronomik.
In Vinyl City the music of rock and roll has taken a beating against the notorious empire of EDM music. You play as Mayday and Zuke of the duo rock band Bunk Bed Junction who aren’t going to take this lying down. Together they lead a musical revolution showing that rock ‘aint ever gonna die!
How are two aspiring rock artists fighting back against the EDM brain washed masses? With the power of your music of course. The city is controlled by someone who believes EDM is the only successful path to powering the city. Use your music to transform objects into weapons, along with doing battle against ‘colossal’ bosses as they try to overturn the ban imposed on all other types of music.
Mechanically, No Straight Roads is a third-person action game. It’s not strictly a rhythm game, but enemies attack in time to the music and if you feel the beat you’ll be in a much better position to dodge, parry, and counterattack the array of assorted baddies who’d like to exterminate rock and roll once and for all.
Vinyl City is a stunning vibrant world of colours of sounds. The art is striking and things look exaggerated and blown out of proportion in the best of ways. It’s certainly an iconic look for No Straight Roads and something that holds up well after prolonged play.
There’s no official release date for No Straights Roads yet but we do know that it will be coming out in early 2020. Physical pre-orders for the PlayStation 4 are available now from Sold Out for USD $39.99 / RM 168. Digital pre-orders are still pending.
