Stranded Sails Is An Idyllic Shipwreck Adventure
The worst has happened, you’ve been shipwrecked on an island. But instead of dying of dysentery and living each moment in absolute terror you’re going to build yourself a little farm and have a good time running around. Part Harvest Moon, part My Time At Portia and part Legend of Zelda – Stranded Sails: Explorers of the Cursed Islands is an open world adventure/farming game that removes all the tension of survival games.
Your journey begins when you and your crew set sail to find adventure in a new land. But in a tale as old as time, a storm hits and it leaves you shipwrecked on the Cursed Islands. Don’t let the name fool you the bright and beautiful land looks anything but cursed! As the child of the injured Captain, you take charge of the crew. Your job to keep them happy and healthy while you figure out how to build a new ship. Along the way, you begin to unravel the mystery of the Cursed Islands.
There are several beautiful little islands to explore. Full of smiling natives, lovely plots of lands to grow veggies and sweeping beaches for you to explore. I mean I think I saw an angry ghost or two but I wouldn’t classify them as ‘scary’. There are compelling exploration gameplay, quests and a storyline that will have you hopping all over the island.
Besides the wonderful adventures in store, you have to keep your crewmates and yourself alive by fishing, farming and cooking. Set up some temporary housing for them, as well as increase the overall morale around the camp with your sunny disposition.
Developed by Lemonbomb Entertainment and rokapublish, Stranded Sails – Explorers of the Cursed Island will be released on the PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stranded Sails is being published by Merge Games and will come out sometime in October 2019.
