Level Up KL Goes Beyond Entertainment

What were you guys up to this weekend? If you weren’t cooped up with the best and brightest of Malaysian game developers then you missed out on the SEA Game Jam. Part of the annual game developers conference Level Up KL happening this week the SEA Game Jam is 36 hours of pure game development where at the end of a dank two days you come up with a game based on a theme.

An initiative of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) an agency of the Ministry of Communication and Multimedia MalaysiaLevel Up KL aims to be a platform for the region where game developers from all over the world can come together to learn, share knowledge and of course show off their games.

Starting from tomorrow the official conference and exhibition will take place at the Connexion Convention Centre & Exhibition Centre in Bangsar South. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Beyond Entertainment’, with the topics and ideas being focused on the video game industry. They’ll be focusing on not only how video games are revolutionising the entertainment industry, but also how it’s playing a role in driving efficiency, innovation and disrupting other sectors of the economy.
