Top 10 Games Coming Out October 2017

Blockbuster season for fall officially kicks off in October. Heavy-hitters Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Super Mario Odyssey, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and the anticipated PC release of Destiny 2 are all coming out this month!


Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen by Capcom – October 3rd


Set in a huge open world, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen presents a rewarding action combat experience. Dark Arisen was the director’s cut version of the initial game. Now, it has been given a further lick of visual polish for current-gen consoles. Players embark on an epic adventure in a rich, living world with three AI companions, known as Pawns. These partners fight independently, demonstrating prowess and ability that they have developed based on traits learned from each player.

The Evil Within 2 by Tango Gameworks – October 13th

Launching aptly on October 13th the survival horror game by Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil, Vanquish) tells the story of a machine STEM. Inside of which he could live in his memories as if they were real. Investigator Sebastian Castellanos is contacted by his former partner, who subsequently explains to him that a secret organization has created a new STEM machine. This one based on Sebastian‘s own daughter’s brain. Of course, his daughter was supposed to have died years earlier, so he has to go back into STEM‘s troubling world in order to find her and save her.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole by Ubisoft – October 17th


From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, comes South Park: The Fractured but Whole. A sequel to 2014’s award-winning South Park: The Stick of Truth. Delve into the crime-ridden underbelly of South Park with Coon and Friends. A dedicated group of crime fighters was formed by Eric Cartman whose superhero alter-ego, The Coon, is half man, half raccoon. Destiny 2 by Bungie, Activision – October 24th

Destiny 2Bungie‘s highly successful FPS game was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One early this month. With the Windows version scheduled for October. Return to your role as Guardian, and protect Earth‘s last safe city. Wield the power called Light to protect the Last City from different alien races. One of the races, the Cabal, led by their emperor, Dominus Ghaul, infiltrate the Last City and strips all Guardians of their Light. Set out on a journey to regain the Light and find a way to defeat Ghaul and his Red Legion army and take back the Last City.

Super Mario Odyssey by Nintendo – October 27th

Super Mario Odyssey follows Mario as he travels across many worlds on his hat-shaped ship, the “Odyssey”, in an effort to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser, who plans to marry her. The game sees Mario traveling to various worlds known as “Kingdoms,” which return to the free-roaming exploration-based level design featured in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine and each feature unique designs, ranging from photo-realistic cities to more fantasy-based worlds.
