Beginning January 25th, Overwatch will be running a new seasonal event celebrating Chinese New Year! There will be skins. According to a tweet from the game’s official account. Overwatch’s Year of the Rooster event will kick off next Wednesday, Jan. 25, a few days ahead of Chinese New Year.

While Blizzard didn’t provide much in the way of detail on Overwatch’s next event. It did include a tease of a much-needed new character skin. With Mei and D.Va being the obvious choices to showcase them. Check out the teases from the official Overwatch Twitter account. As well as on the game’s Korean account.

A Blizzard spokesperson confirmed that the Year of the Rooster event will be similar in scope to previous game events. Such as Halloween Terror and Winter Wonderland. Those limited-time events included new character skins, sprays, voice lines, emotes and other cosmetic items. They also featured new gameplay modes, like Junkenstein’s Revenge and Mei’s Snowball Offensive.
