Resident Evil Gets Ready To Close Its Final Chapter
Production has begun on the last movie of the long-running zombie series titled Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began – Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.
Seems like business as usual for Umbrella Corporation but it sounds like this will Alice’s last mission, I’m looking forward to seeing the series go out with a bang! (Literally)
The audience will get to see familiar faces as well as a few new characters. Paul W S Anderson screenwriter and director of the Resident Evil series will be directing once again. Mila Jovovich is back as Alice, Ali Carter as Claire Redfield, Iain Glen as Dr. Alexander Isaacs and Shawn Roberts as Albert Wesker. Some of the new characters include Ruby Rose as Abigail, Eoin Macken is Doc, William Levy is Christian, Fraser James is Michael, and Japanese model Rola as Cobalt.
Resident Evil: Final Chapter is slated for release in January 2017.
