N7 Day Kicks Off With Mass Effect: Andromeda
It’s November 7 or what Mass Effect fans fondly know as N7 Day. For those of you who don’t keep up with the series, N7 Day is a celebration of all things Mass Effect. This year BioWare kicks off the celebration with a new teaser trailer for its upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda.
The video, narrated by Commander Shepard (voice actor Jennifer Hale), who will not be appearing in the next chapter of the Mass Effect saga, officially passes the torch and approves the next generation of explorers in Andromeda. Check out the trailer below.
A touching farewell by our good Commander Shepard:
“We are travellers, constantly moving forward, and looking back. Alone and as one, we have no choice but to try, for our insatiable curiosity, for our fear in what should happen if we don’t. You are the explorer now. We will say goodbye and you will look back one last time, and know that wherever you go, we will be with you. This is Commander Shepard, signing off”
Mass Effect: Andromeda will take place far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy as players explore the Andromeda galaxy with an all-new lead character and a team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside and of course fall in love with. Players will be exploring an all-new galaxy and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw. There seems to be a heavy emphasis on exploration, which fits nicely with the game’s journey to frontier space and a galaxy untouched by humanity.
General Manager of BioWare, Aaryn Flynn previously explained that the game’s story is “very much a human one” to ensure that it is relatable.
Mass Effect Andromeda is still in production and will be debuting on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for the end of 2016.
